The Sabres had a line last night of Moulson-Girgensons-Larsson - creating the only line in the league that I am faster than...when those guys are out for Buffalo, the best skater on the rink is Lehner...
Anyway, last b2b of the month already...we were able to roll the bottom six a lot late last night in the runaway win...top guys should be a little fresher, particularly after a low-residue game on the front half...

Buffalo called up a "Hudson Fasching" for tonight.
Honestly, that name sounds made up.

I love Hudson Fasching. I saw him play when he was 17 with the U.S. and I thought, long, long down the road he could be a power forward extraordinaire...that had to have been at least five years ago...obviously he's not an NHL regular yet, but I'd love to see where he's at in his development...all of the words typed up to this point were said with wide-eyed excitement, until I re-read them and realized that I'm probably gonna be pretty disappointed...regardless, he'll be the player I'm watching closest tonight.

Which is more of a shot dark? Projecting goalies or projecting power forwards?

I only watched the condensed version, but boy does Jarry look good. That's a real luxury to have two great young talents.

From what I remember Jarry was predicted to be the better of the two when they were drafted.

@Gaucho told me that Jarry will eventually be traded. From what I remember Jarry was predicted to be the better of the two when they were drafted.

Hottest of takes: Jarry will be the starting goalie before Murray’s contract is up.

Definitely had the higher ceiling...was just a matter of tracking the right way...so far, so good (really good, imo)...From what I remember Jarry was predicted to be the better of the two when they were drafted.

Goalies still. But not by nearly enough. I also know less about their sorcery...power forwards you can a bit more easily figure out the fatal flaw...like, not being able to stand up on the rink, like Timo Meier...Which is more of a shot dark? Projecting goalies or projecting power forwards?

What was Tangradi’s fatal flaw? Being a slow footed ***** with with no scoring touch?

“Better” might be the wrong term. Jarry was predicted to have a higher ceiling. He had a better junior career at the time, but the season after they were drafted, Murray really started to put it together. I think my initial thought was Murray would have the better career - whatever that means. From what I remember Jarry was predicted to be the better of the two when they were drafted.

You can’t make a prediction that happened a few days ago. IT DOESNT WORK LIKE THAT DDHottest of takes: Jarry will be the starting goalie before Murray’s contract is up.

But I mean not because Murray is a fragile jamoke. But because he’s better. You can’t make a prediction that happened a few days ago. IT DOESNT WORK LIKE THAT DDHottest of takes: Jarry will be the starting goalie before Murray’s contract is up.

Depending on what your definition of starter is, I would most likely agree. But I mean not because Murray is a fragile jamoke. And the second best man doesn’t need to be traded. I repeat. The second best man doesn’t need to be traded.

In the Mears game I was recently forced to watch (my yogi tells me no one 'forced' me to do anything, rather I 'chose' to not mute the game - like he did- so that I could indulge the dark side of my samsara). Anyway, Errey made note (during a replay) of liking how Jarry doesn't make himself "smaller" -forgive me but I can't be contextually accurate (perhaps you remember it) and I know this is just my spin but I'm thinking... 'unlike Murray'.
There is no goalie controversy. I love Murray etc. But daggone, at times the guy seems to me to be searching for a conatct lens. I don't see Vas/Quick/Bob/Schneider doing that.

Quick and Bob aren’t great examples. Quick can look very, very small on occasion. He is athletic af enough to still make saves while covering the same amount of net as a 13 year old.
Murray looking small in there at times is still probably bigger than Jarry looking big. Murray shrinks down to fight through traffic, which is fine. I’d rather him try to battle through than just “Jesus take the wheel” and hope it hits him.
On a side note, I’m excited to have Jarry play some games because I want to see how shooters plan on attacking him. We know that opponents want to target Murray high glove (right, @dodint?) and mid stick side.
