McDavid just embarrassed Maata.

All started because Kris Letang looked the ref in the eye, and still decided it was a good idea to try to go up the wall with it.

Brain dead, and made of money.
Refs used to give guys the ice by kinda sitting on the dasher a bit. That ref clearly had no intention on moving (not a bad thing; probably a good thing).

Probably because he expected an NHL level d man with that kind of time and space to not throw it up the wall after making eye contact with him.
Yeah. Hard to blame the ref there.

letang tried his best to, though. started yelling at the guy right after the goal went in. he's such a raging disappointment so far.

I was shocked he got the puck through to the net on that Hornqvist goal. I'm assuming it was about to hit Caggiula's leg but he moved at the last second to avoid injury.
