Probably but they could get enough for him to be better defensively and putting Schultz on the powerplay(who imo is better at everything but zone entry, and they have Phil for that).

It's a pipe dream, but he's no 65 or Burns.

I get it's not realistic at all, I just don't care for what he brings which isn't enough most of the time. If he produced more on the PP with his shot, I'd probably feel different.

Yeah, this same thing is being said about Burns on Sharks boards right now...he's no 65 is about where it ends...maybe throw in DD too...he is wildly consistent...but without as much offensive flash...

Which I'm fine with being a consistent force on defense. Letang hasn't necessarily showed the consistency in his foundational base either.

I hope he turns it around, it's gotta suck after that injury, but he's paid too much to get a lot of leeway, imo. Especially if people were ready to tossa maatta to the Lions last year.
