I don’t see how. Putting him in net is basically forfeiting. Pens have too many back to back games this season to forfeit the back end of them.

Niemi has been in a tough situation in that he's had to face top teams in the second night of back-to-back games. That being said, it seems like the team will need to rise to the occasion in order to get him a W, as opposed to Fleury, who frequently got wins for the team despite crappy performances by the guys in front of him. This could make for a very different W-L record compared to last year.
