Watched the first two periods last night, listened to the third on the radio. One of the few games I'll be able to watch this year.

Overall observations:

- For the 4th game of the season, the Pens looked in good form. The most true indicator was Holtby's reactions throughout the game. The Pens are in his head for sure.

- Malkin is either snake-bit or just not that interested. Many giveaways and 2-3 high quality scoring chances that he normally buries were wasted. Holtby did make a good save on one of those chances, but if Geno would have picked a corner, easy goal.

- Hagelin is looking good. Boy is he a boost when healthy.

- For the love of all things yinzer, SHOOT THE PUCK LETANG!! Borque was all giddy on the radio when Sully didn't start him in the 3rd on the PP unit and they cashed in.

- Murray looked great. I don't fault him for that Christian Jews goal. Kid had a sick snipe. Must have been studying the Grape Ape

- The DC crowd seemed listless for a "rivalry" game.

- Hornqvist...what can I say? Such a beast and a critical piece to the Penguins success.

I can't tell if it's malkin or kessel sabotaging that line but they should be split up, regardless of who is to blame.

For those of you went to the game, if you had a minute, I had a couple of questions.

1) Where there a lot of Pens fans there? How many, what %?

2) Was this the normal amount PIT brings? If not, what is? Was this more or less?

On TV it sounded pretty loud when they scored; wasn't sure how many would show up given it was an early season weeknight game.
