I agree with mikey, that it should be a vet. FA's available this Summer:This isn't the venue for this discussion...but I'd have a veteran, reliable backup ready...multiple reasons...

I'm ok with this. The back-up market is thin and you aren't going to land a bigger name with Murray swing is **** around.Bring back Michael Condon.
At least he wouldn't be able to Halak us anymore. Maybe we can net one of Dallas' useless 'tenders on the cheap.I'd also wonder what Halak would go for. He got a bum wrap in NYI, but he was so devalued towards the end there.
You could get either of the other two Dallas goalies very cheap acquisition wise... it is cap hit wise that they are not cheap at all.At least he wouldn't be able to Halak us anymore. Stop disrespecting my thread, bubba. The Pens don't need a backup goalie. They are the champions. Back to back. Backups are for losers. *chucks sandwich on ice*
Is he developed enough to sit and watch NHL games from the end of the bench for the bulk of the season?I know there are a lot of joke responses here, but the real answer is Jarry, right?
I don't know if I would go far enough to call Murray injury prone but there's a good chance whoever is starting next year might have to take over for a month at some pointIs he developed enough to sit and watch NHL games from the end of the bench for the bulk of the season?I know there are a lot of joke responses here, but the real answer is Jarry, right?
