I'm all for saddling up 7 D tonight. We literally have like 8 forwards we can rotate double shifting. C'mon big game from Hags tonight!

if Daley is gtg I don't see a need for 7 d.

Streit would be an upgrade at PP QB over all of the other defenseman. That's about the extent of his use.

Streit a better overall option than Hainsey... breakout.. Power play etc.. no? I mean neither are great options, but I think Streit has a bit more upside transition wise and on the power play.

He's a gaping blackhole of suck defensively though, but based on the first two games that would matter less against the Sens than it did against Washington. Hainsey isn't going anywhere though. Coaching staff obviously likes what he's bringing.

Streit's game has matured as he's slowed down...so he can hang defensively in my opinion...that said, not sure how he'll handle not having played in two months...

If Daley is gtg because his stating feels good, but hasn't actually practiced with the team, I'll buy the insurance on D and rotate my forwards anyway since Hornqvist and Rust are out rather than fill in with Kuhnhackl or someone like that.if Daley is gtg I don't see a need for 7 d.

I think theoretically a Streit is more valuable in this series than a Hainsey. We need d-men who can move the puck to get around their stupid defense

Streit will be fine defensively. The Sens somehow managed to have negative offensive zone time last game.

I would also like to see Streit. We need to have someone in the back that can handle the puck somewhat Ok.

Assuming that Streit doesn't play, what would the first PP unit be?
Crosby, Malkin, Kessel, Hornqvist replacement, Daley?

I'd love to see Bonino up there to play the Hornqvist role and stand in front of the net. But then, that puts your 3 centers on the ice at the same time and no one to really center up the 2nd unit. Soooo, I know the answer is probably gonna end up being Kunitz but let me throw a radical selection out there -- Carter Rowney. The guy has been a giant pain for the opposition in the last few games, but mostly on the PK. Why not give him a shot out there and have him muck it up in front of the net and possibly pick up some garbage?Assuming that Streit doesn't play, what would the first PP unit be?

Sums it up. Game 3s when series are tied 1-1 are even more nervewracking than usual.
