When Mario sells the team. That'll probably be the last string cut from when the team could've actually been a dynasty.
This is the second time I've seen this "Mario is selling the the team" comment. Is there any source for this?

My expectations are really low but it won't be over for me until the Pens are out.

He could leave it to his kids, ala the Rooneys but I was thinking of someone else who posted that Mario was going to sell it in a few years before the Sid era is over.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to latch onto that. But I do remember that comment.

As long as there are some significant tie to the first cup years I'll always have some childish hope. When Mario and Mike Lange are out of the picture that might be the end of it. I'm not sure either one will make it another 10 years, we'll see. It's a completely nostalgic feeling not at all rooted in anything rational. But neither is this thread.
