No urgency at all until they go down by 2. That's what happens when you're lathargic and turn the puck over multiple times. They suck.

Urgency was there throughout to make it to 2-0. 3 bad minutes of play and one mindboggling mistake by the referee cost them.

This team is playing as bad as I have ever seen them since 2009 except maybe when they face elimination in the playoffs.

Not an excuse but missing 3 of top 4 helps that, including Letang, who eats 25 minutes per game.

I'm more worried about the 5-6 forwards who might as well not have names on their backs b/c they are playing generic, non-impact hockey.

That's how I see it. Overall, the Pens didn't play poorly; it was a much better effort than against Philly. But...they had two horrible turnovers and one questionable no-whistle that sunk them.

I somehow started watching the Columbus feed 3rd period. Their announcers just mentioned the team has "resilience".

I wouldn't use that word on the Penguins.

That's how I see it. Overall, the Pens didn't play poorly; it was a much better effort than against Philly. But...they had two horrible turnovers and one questionable no-whistle that sunk them.

This team has too many passengers. The defense is hurting without guys counted on to chew up minutes in Letang, Maata, and Erhoff. The forwards have too many guys who just seem to have disappeared.

Yeah, I mean, you can't fault the team for effort in this one...it was there, even in spades at times...just made a couple of mistakes that turned out to be fatal...we get a chance to shake this one off in 20 hours, so, no time to dwell on it...
