One from someone tired of the endless bellyaching (not so much here) about some of the new players before the season has started.

Whoever is at fault for the first goal allowed tomorrow night. So Jarry, Letang, Malkin, Matheson, CC, Third line as a unit are all in contention.

Didn't read. I think I've read too much HF Boards and the constant complaining there.

To be fair, i have bellyached about Matheson. But I watched a disproportionate amount of Florida Panthers games the past few years so I've seen a lot more of him than I deserved.

Hes got natural abilities, no question about that. Hopefully someone like Rierden can rewire his brain but im not optimistic. He makes Letang look like a MENSA candidate.

My honest prediction is that he starts out hot from adrenaline, has a nice first 20 games, slowly reverts to back to his bad habits but gets a pass because of his strong first half, then next season everyone starts wanting him gone for good in November.

For anyone still antsy about DeSmith handling the back-up duties, Alex Nedeljkovic is on waivers today.

Defenseman — Pierre-Olivier Joseph.

Goaltender — Alex D’Orio, Maxime Lagace.

I like the thought of POJ, I don't like the thought of POJ not getting playing time when it could benefit. Hopefully he goes back to AHL when that season starts.
