The allegations here...are something else.

That is super bizarre. It's very easy to imagine yourself in that situation and how different you would've handled things. And how different my fiance would react to being sexually assaulted (in my presence no less). How do you know that happened and continue to work with that man for 7 months? I guess you don't know how you or your wife would react until you're put in that same situation, but I would hope it would be very different.

If this is true and the Penguins organization knew of these actions and didn't act, then they should be held accountable.

The only part that I don't get (not in a cutting way) is how your wife is getting groped up in the backseat of the car you're in...all the rest seems very plausible, I don't really get that part...no one was talking? No check back during conversation? No noise?

I know everybody wants to say it would have been different if it was them. I want to say the same. But nobody really knows until you're put in that situation. Did she feel like it was her fault? Did she feel like if she said anything it would've meant her husband's job? He's obviously much bigger than her so it must have been a terrifying car ride. I like to think my fiance would've screamed at him and punched him in the teeth before I could even turn around but you just don't know until you're in that situation.

I'm always inclined to believe the accusers in these situations, which I know isn't always correct.

Yeah I don't know. Maybe there's music on or maybe he's talking to to the driver. I'm guessing he had no idea to even suspect anything was happening so he wouldn't really be listening for any weird noises. But yeah, it's crazy. That's why I originally said how could you continue working for that person for another 7 months before saying anything? I would feel like I failed as a husband if that happened literally right behind my back. And I'd be out for blood.

As for the article noting the Penguins never contacted Erin or apologized... I’m no lawyer but not apologizing protects yourself from someone claiming you admitted guilt.@Shyster you would know more there.

Again if true hopefully there is some tangible proof and not just he said she said. If it is he said she said it’s gonna be messy and most likely the Pens will settle.

Again if there is no tangible proof Billy G can say those convos never happened.

As for “ I would have...” it seems everyone was drunk in the car so who knows what the vibe was. It could have gone from fun with friends to assault really fast and the victim still may have been laughing but felt things escalated too far. It’s all speculation at this point.

Yeah, that's been making the rounds the last 12 hours or so...I was hoping for a push back till 2/1 just to see if maybe we could still pull off an in-person fantasy draft like we do every year...but on this turnaround, that's gonna be even tougher...

IIRC, PA does have a law that says that apologies are not an admission of liability, but I believe it applies only to medical professionals who are apologizing for malpractice. In other cases there could be a risk that an apology could be seen as an admission of liability.
