Here’s hoping he does return before the end of the regular season. If Kapanen is 10-14 days away, but has yet to skate, I have to assume that Geno is 7-10 days away at most.

I’m reaching deep into the old brain to try and cobble together what I think tends to be a “tough injury to judge” and all I am coming up with is a high ankle sprain. 3 days. 3 months. 3 lifetimes. All reasonable recovery times for a high ankle sprain.

It's upper body. Concussion makes sense. Just weird that he'd put a sort of timetable on it. He could wake up tomorrow symptom free if that's what it was

I'm not saying right, wrong, or indifferent re: Olympic team...but once again this board is smacked in the face by the idea that other talented players play in the league...

I'd be just as surprised at Rust making the olympic team as I would be at Guentzel missing it.

I can see a case for ranking DeBrincat over Guentzel right now. Not Gaudreau, and certainly not Pacioretty or Connor. I take it you have all three ranked higher?

I dont know who wins but I would have Connor and Guentzel as my two LW in the top 6.
