Oh absolutely not...all right, I'm gonna put together my fourth line video this weekend...

I could do the same and cherry pick opposing instances. It isn't going to do much.
It's just straight shifts from a few recent games...not a highlight reel...it's not all roses and puppy dogs...don't knock it, you haven't seen it...

Much like Reaves it sounds like... :slug: (oh, I'm such a b****)

I think Kuhnhackl, adjusting for role, has been one of our five best players this season...
I don’t see it honestly. I don’t think he’s been bad, but he’s not back to where he was in Stanley Cup year one. He was a threat offensivelyz. I really liked his game then. Last year the injury hindered him. Now to me this year, he’s been a bit blah (at least in an offensive role).

I have seen Reaves and I developed a different opinion than you.

Shocking, I know. I don't know why that's beyond your apparent comprehension.

Fair. I have really liked his forecheck and backcheck game...he's become more physical in a useful way, he's using his body to separate people from pucks instead of just regular old finishing his check...I've been impressed without he's adapted to his role, he's really carved out a niche in the show...

McKegg and Reaves don't possess a lot of skill, so they have to manufacture offense off the cycle (which is just fine)...I don't think they're quite good enough offensively to make any meaningful in-roads though...in other words, I don't think Kuhnhackl can be the most skilled player on his line and expect to generate much offense...as in actual, register-it-on-the-scoreboard offense...as opposed to attack time...I think they can generate attack time...

Yea good point. Sort of goes back to McKegg then to me. But getting a third line center would alleviate many of the bottom line problems we are seeing

Yeah, I think that's right. McKegg might be the least technically skilled player on the roster along with Reaves, Corrado, Rowney and I guess Dumoulin to round out the bottom five of NHL or fringe NHL players...probably missing someone...

I've been taking apart some of their shifts and they honestly move the puck from the defensive zone to the offensive zone (and then change, without scoring, but without turning it over either) more often than you'd think...it doesn't register anywhere because it rarely generates a faceoff (they aren't good shooters and it's tough for them to work the puck inside the dot lines without losing it), but I was actually a bit surprised about how not horrible they are...but I respect that they have serious limitations offensively...

As suspected, losing Wilson hasn't been an issue - he was yet another fumble hands bee. They have enough of those.

Overall as a player, and I pose this to the group, if Tom Kuhnhackl is a 5 (out of 10) on the "bottom six forward scale"...what is/was Scott Wilson in your opinion...?

5. Ultimately, they're similarly skilled players that fill slightly different roles.

Mackey was the source of info for McKenzie tweeting about Cole earlier in the week? I don't pay attention to the guy. Is he a poor man's Rossi?

Mackey seems okay, in comparison to other Pittsburgh media. Some one on the last page said he was calling for Sprong to be called up while he was a healthy scratch the other game.

McKegg on waivers today, per Uncle Bob.

To call up a reserve for Jultz? We're home still though, that seems less sensible...maybe I'll just shut up and think about it instead of talking first...

One thing to note...they are opening up a roster spot, right? But it's McKegg that they expose (LHS center) to a) promote Rowney (RHS center) and b) preserve Archibald (speedy RHS wing) despite Kegger playing nearly every game this year and Archie playing two...

I thought McKegg looked decent in the early running...just couldn't sustain it I guess.

He's just not very talented. He is quite fast. Not a dum-dum. But he lacks a lot of technical skill. In fact, I think it's pretty easy to claim he doesn't have an NHL skill set from a technical skills perspective. Another lesson in junior stats...

McKegg went:
85 pts in 67 games
92 pts (49 goals) in 66
75 in 65
