Consensus? No. But certainly top 20.

What's the line here? Does it have to be nine? If so, yeah, that's going to be a tough ask...

But Gretzky played for four, five if you stretch the Indianapolis Ice into the mix...

Did none of the super team chaser NBA guys qualify? Ol' no squat rack Durant didn't play for a new team every year for most of his career...?

He's played for 9 NHL teams but I think he's probably consensus somewhere between the top 7-12 players of alltime. I don't think any player considered that great has played for that many teams in any sport

reminds me of the "reaction" youtube video genre

people play it up because they know they're on camera which makes it fake and uninteresting just by nature

I love that first goal so so much. wrangles a puck, attacks the middle, recognizes the drop option, then just sifts himself into the weeds and gets lost. pause it at 6 seconds. 12 red wing eyes on the puck despite Smith being on his backhand.

Top 5? You have the iron four, Gretzky, Lemieux, Howe, and Orr. They're untouchable there, obviously. So that means Jagr was better than every other player that's ever played besides those guys? Tough sell...

For me, it's the big four.
Then you have Beliveau and Hull.
Doug Harvey is in there. Crosby's around here.
Lidstrom and probably Bourque.

So there's 10 down, but I think already Jagr starts to become fairly reasonable here. He's a little bit shortchanged by trophy counters because he's robbed in the Pronger one due to injury, and then the Thornton one in '06 where Thornton only played 58 (or so) games with the team that got him into the conversation. Hard to find space in the top 10, and I'm one of the few out there doesn't have one of Hasek or Roy floating around here (I don't have a goalie until around 15-20, and even that I'm thinking is probably too high as the years go on).

But top 5 Penguin, sure...but top 5 player in the history of the game? That dog won't hunt...

I love Jagr, but I think it's fair to say that he's aided by incredible longevity and his post-Penguins career largely did not live up to expectations.

Big week with each opponent being harder than the previous one. Columbus sucks, Jersey will be without Hughes and possibly Hischier, then at Carolina and vs Vegas back-to-back. And next week it's NYR, @BUF, TOR. LGP

If we can get 11 of 16 points in this run, I'd be very happy.
