I’ll agree with this. Other than the random penalty he has been taking, I am fine with his game. He’s got to get it going a little bit more, but I don’t think dealing him would be a good move at this point. No to Bogo. Really don't think Galchenyuk has been as bad as people make him out to be...

Whatever it took to get him is irrelevant now. If ditching him for something that makes this team better is an option then that's the right move. Whether that's Bogosian or not I don't know. He's not exactly on the way of earning himself a big new contract. He's still trying to find his role and playing him in a non-offensive role isn't helping. I think the main issue with people is he was the main piece for Kessel and he just simply can't replace what Phil brought. Ditching him for next to nothing, Bogo in this case, is awful asset management since POJ is still an unknown.

The Pens could use a RH center who can win draws, and a winger who can score some goals.
Ironically, these are the two things that Bjugstad and Galchenyuk are SUPPOSED to bring to the table. ZAR is also expendable IMO, but obviously the return for him would be small.

Such a bad idea...https://www.hockeyfeed.com/nhl-news/imm ... and-sabres
Thoughts on moving Galchenyuk for Bogosian? Not saying there’s any truth to this, but I’m about done with him at this point.

Bogosian is terribad. At least Galchenyuk could eventually snap out of this and become a serviceable player.Such a bad idea...https://www.hockeyfeed.com/nhl-news/imm ... and-sabres

That was on purpose, as punishment.

How can Galchenyuk be placed on the third line after Simon and ZAR? Simon-ZAR-Galchenyuk-Blandisi has to be one of the weakest collection of LWs in the league?
mikey's Thread of Penguin Randomness
Yeah, it's not great. Galchenyuk is fairly useless when he's not scoring. Simon is a good all-around player, but his lack of finish is comical. Ironically, it matters least when he's skating with Crosby and (LW!) Guentzel and not expected/required to score. ZAR has been pretty solid in his role imo.

Yeah, I agree. I know that Guentzel is forced to play C with our injuries, but that is why it feels so strange that they don't play Galchenyuk as his LW. Or perhaps they need Simon to do the dirty work for the top line.Yeah, it's not great. Galchenyuk is fairly useless when he's not scoring. No offense to Blueger and Tanev, but I would not say that they are excellent playmakers that can set up Galchenyuk for prime chances...

I thought scoring his first would snap him out of it. Still hope he does at some point.

Addison made Canada's WJC defense. No small feat.
