I think blueger can achieve 3C production with some talent like Kapanen on one of his wings.

He looks like a 4C though. Not sure he could play at that level for the 18:00 or so a game you'd like to see out of your 3C across an 82 (56) game season

I think you keep him with ham and eggers. You would probably lose his biggest attributes if he played with some talent. Then you asking him to hold the puck a few seconds longer. Change his timing on plays. I don’t think it would work.I think blueger can achieve 3C production with some talent like Kapanen on one of his wings.

Bleugs could be like Pageau as a 3C, yes?

What 3C's are playing 18 or so a game? That's gotta be an extremely select few. Those are by and large top-6 numbers, unless I'm out to lunch here, and special teams add more than I'm assuming. He looks plenty like a 3C. Do all 3Cs have to be Charlie Coyle all of a sudden? I'm not seeing 3Cs on many other teams who are just oozing with offensive talent and have the numbers to back it up. I never thought I'd type "3C" as much in one day as I have today. He looks like a 4C though. Maybe. He's a high-enough-iq of a player that he might just tweak his game according to his linemates / given role. Granted, I didn't see enough of him in WBS to 100% back this up, but I wouldn't be surprised if his game in 18-19 when we was tearing it up on the top-line looked a bit closer to what you're describing than how he's playing right now in his current role.I think you keep him with ham and eggers. You would probably lose his biggest attributes if he played with some talent. Then you asking him to hold the puck a few seconds longer. Change his timing on plays. I don’t think it would work.

Meh, regardless of his age, he's only played 114 games in the NHL. I think it's somewhat silly to think there's no way he can improve a bit.
Unless you're saying this small sample size of 0.64 ppg while primarily getting d-zone starts, no PP time, and playing with defensive players is his peak, in which case, I'd say yeah absolutely, in a vacuum, it absolutely ain't gettin' any better than this.

Yeah, I think his play and his production value won't really get much better than this...I think he's playing at basically max value...
In Eastside Hockey Manager (best game made since Tecmo Super Bowl), there are two hidden fields: Current Ability and Potential Ability. It's on a scale of 200. Blugers is playing at 145, his potential is - at most - 145, but is really probably 135.

I hope I am wrong. I’d love for him to be the best 3C in hockey. I just don’t see it. I’ll gladly have mikey eat a coat hanger if we are wrong.

Better 3c: Teddy Ballgame or 2008-ish Dominic Moore

I was looking at some old trades and came across the Jussi Jokinen trade. I forgot how well he did with the Penguins.
He was having ... issues in Carolina and waived. Just before the deadline, Carolina waived him but at $3M with a year+ left no one took him. The Pens stepped in and offered to take him if the Hurricanes retained. A t the deadline a deal was worked out of $900K retained for a conditional 6th/7th, which no pick ended up changing hands. (This was a Rutherford trade for Carolina BTW).
So the Pens got him at $2.1M for nothing...
2012-13 deadline: 11 gms, 7-4-11 +3. Playoffs: 8 games, 0-3-3 +3
2013-14: Played 81 games, 21-36-57 +12. Playoffs: 13 games, 7-3-10 +5
92 games, 28-40-68 +15, playoffs 21 games 7-6-13 +8
I forgot that he was a 60 point guy for the Pens.
He signed a $4Mx4 deal with Florida summer of 2014. After season of 44pts, 60pts and 28pts, Florida bought him out summer of 2018.
2018-19 He signed with Edmonton for $1.1M, and was sent on a traveling wonderland, even though he actually had a M-NTC.
After 14 games (1 point) he was traded to LA for Mike Cammalleri.
After 18 games (5 points) he was waived and claimed by Columbus.
After 14 games (1 point) he was traded (w/Motte) to Vancouver for Tomas Vanek
Played 14 gales (10 points) with Vancouver to end the season.
Summer of 2019 he signed in Europe where he is still playing (37 years old).

I mean, Moore played "top" line for a while in Toronto with Jason Blake...so, it wasn't really the same deal...Moore was on the power play there haha

Juicy was very good for the Pens.
Jason Blake overcame a severe sunlight allergy to become a 40 goal scorer that one time. Still he had a unique skill of murdering penguins.

Moore went to the Brandon Sutter School of “I have linemates?” Don’t know if either player completed a pass during their time here.
I like Teddy as a 3C because he gives a crap. And I think that should be one of your key, “gives a crap” guys, the 3C.
