I would have put a large sum of money that Andy Moog was much, much higher on that list...

Andy Moog makes a solid appearance on the playoff goal list, which further illustrates that Beaupre was Mario's dodint.
1. Beaupre - 11
2. Moog, Richter, 8
4. Hextall, Terreri - 7
6. ENG - 6

Not for me to decide, but I’d say no. I never found them as interesting as everyone else seemed to.Sedins in? I mean, they did a thing...they looked similar and were kinda good...it was unique...
But fleury aside, I think it’s an important thing to remember. The word “fame” may be arbitrary. But maybe it’s not.

Ugh, why did I just get myself all riled up by reading that hack Cook's column in the PG? Why can't this town get any good hockey writers who don't feel like it's their job to grind axes?

the canadian dinosaurs in the national media wanting people to die prematurely from residual brain trauma has turned me off from pretty much all hockey coverage. the local guys always suck, and the national guys are now from mars. tough times...Ugh, why did I just get myself all riled up by reading that hack Cook's column in the PG? To add on about how dumb the article is and how the Pens can’t afford Kessels cap hit.....the canadian dinosaurs in the national media wanting people to die prematurely from residual brain trauma has turned me off from pretty much all hockey coverage. the local guys always suck, and the national guys are now from mars. tough times...Ugh, why did I just get myself all riled up by reading that hack Cook's column in the PG? Evander Kane is reported to be signing a deal with the Sharks in the 7 YEAR 7 MILLION PER range.
And Mackey and the like are complaining about Kessels 6.8 per for another four years.
It just shows how little some of the guys know about salaries in the NHL

I liked a simpler time...where journalism was pure, goalies stood up and players wore ear muffs on the bench...

Let's say it all goes rightI agree with this, he obviously has not been an elite. However, as others have mentioned, if Vegas wins the Cup he undoubtedly wins the Conn Smythe. If those two things happen, he is definitely in IMO. I'm not saying it is fully deserved, but the HOF inductees are not determined by algorithms, they are determined by people that can be swayed and are subjective.Fleury has not been an elite goaltender over the course of his career. He should be a longshot. A Conn Smythe would certainly help.
4 time cup winner
Conn Smyth
500 wins
Led an expansion team to the cup in their first year. The only goalie and only team to do that.
Beloved by fans, players, and media alike.
He's in.

Fleury is a 2 and a half cup winner if things go right. Let’s not be disingenuous.

That’s a pretty cool pic... there’s future Pens’ coach Ken Schinkel sitting between the good Hextall (Bryan) and Glen Sather. And crazy goalie Al Smith is standing in front of Coach Red Kelly.I liked a simpler time...where journalism was pure, goalies stood up and players wore ear muffs on the bench...

Apparently Madden said a source within the Pens org told him they’re actively shopping Kessel and Phil is okay with it.

It makes sense given his high point season. They better not lose the trade though.

Playoff wise - He was bad this year and ok- not-great last year.
If there’s something to that, sure. Shop away. But there’s probably not something to that.

I don't care if that's true or not. I don't want Kessel traded.

Kessel is a stupid bargain at that price. It'd have to be something else to pull the trigger

Maybe we can get Cole back.

We gonna package him with Hrdina to finally get Zubrus?
I never trust Madden on this stuff. He’ll do anything to keep stirring the pot.
If it does happen, this reflects poorly on Sullivan. Trade your second leading scorer at a bargain price after the best season of his career because you’re a rigid assclown. Get out of here with that Tortorella ****. How many games did the Pens lose this year because the Hunwick over Cole bullshit?

Don’t act like an idiot. No front office is successful with each person operating on an island. Sullivan not liking Kessel is common knowledge. They won the **** cup last year and yet Sullivan flew to whatever the hell to have lunch with Phil to try to sort out their differences. If a coach tells his boss that he does not like or does not want a player there’s only so many courses of action a GM can take. Trading the player is one of them.TIL coaches make the trades
