I'd be cool with Derek Ryan.

No on Plek. The Pittsburgh turtle neck market isn't strong enough.
Not as strong as it used to be...

By the way, looking up this image I saw tons of images from his second stint with the Pens. Totally forgot that happened.

That was a one year thing. It didn't impact the market that much

I love the trade deadline. Just reading this stuff. Rick Nash a good fit for Pitt and shouldn't cost much because the Rags options for trade partners is limited. My question would be why the Pens would need/want a winger?

I get the big body part but he's not the dominant guy of old and what's the point on the Pens? Could he even keep up?

Hard pass on Fat Nash. What is he these days, other than a PK'er?

He may be a good fit for Pitt, but certainly not for the Pens.

Yes, he could keep up. He has evolved into a much better NZ setup man (thanks to being paired up with Chris Kreider so much, who won't come back and retrieve pucks) and a much better two-way player. He has matured considerably as a player. Definitely would be a help and we could own more space below the dots, as his puck protection ability is better than anyone on the team below the end line except Sidbot...

Sorry, I have absolutely no sense of humo(u)r and just spout largely-reasonable hockey opinions. I also seek advice on gospel music in my spare time. Once again, please accept my apologies.

I'm looking forward to the Mackey article where he declares the team wants to trade Hornqvist because ZAR is basically the same thing.
Granted, I haven't seen much of ZAR, but I don't think I'd ever compare his game to Hornqvist, so I'm not sure why I continually hear that he's basically the same player as him on the broadcasts.

I think someone ran with a GMJR quote and no one can think for themselves...so it gets parroted until it becomes true, even though it's obviously not true when you watch the game...

I'm looking forward to a Mackey article, where advocates buying out Maatta and signing Orpik.

Yeah, I remember Mears and Bibs talking about that during the Ottawa game. I recall saying "WTF" out loud, to the bemusement of the missus.

In what world is ZAR another version of Horny.

Edit: that was in response to mikey's last post.

ZAR and Hornqvist are both male hockey players that skate poorly for the NHL level. That's about where the similarities stop
