Pretty sure I’d settle for present-day Hrdina at 3C at this point.

I see he was a minus 45 that year. I don't disagree with, this just prompted me to see what that 93-94 Ottawa team was all about.Daigle belonged in the league. And he belonged at 18. His best season was his 18 year old season. Daigle's problem was that he didn't want to play hockey, it's not that he wasn't talented...Big shot, very fast, developed some better puck distribution skills his last year in the minors, can gain a line even with the puck exposed to the interior...it's an intriguing tool set...one that made the NHL at 18...part of his demise, ultimately...
I think that it is more that people keep thinking about the guy at 18, rather than the guy today.
Alexander Daigle called...

I wonder if Phil Bourque ever references during the broadcast the 11 games he played on this team, with a -196 goal differential.

He probably doesn't remember...
Those Sens teams were garbage water...in one of those years, I guess 1996, they went through three coaches...finally ended up on Jacques Martin...next season, the Sens are in the playoffs...

If Daigle was drafted by a real team with infrastructure and leadership in place, I imagine things would have turned out differently. 18 ain’t a finished product. Would have been nice for him to only be kind of a turd on a rudderless ship like Eichel, but at that age, it takes all kinds.

I would have also raised our odds after last night.
We proved we could skate. It was hypothetical a day ago.

Only thing that could make those 96 3rd jerseys look better is pairing it with a turtleneck. Well played, "Liquid Sexy Eyes."

nah
“I think he’s doing fine,” said Rutherford, when asked to address Johnson’s season. “I think he’s doing perfectly fine. You know, it started from the very first day with him, when we signed him on July 1. Right from the start. In that first media scrum, the questions you guys were asking and the way people were reacting to the signing. I’ll be honest: I was very surprised and very disappointed that a new player we signed would be asked the questions that he was asked on that day. That was the start of it, and I think it was completely unfair to Jack. He’s doing fine for us.”

Unfairness of questions or not the objective data is that JMFJ is bad and brings down everyone he plays with.

Yeah, I just don't think we're gonna be able to butt**** our way out of this one though...it's a good thought, but I just don't see how it applies here...let's put it in the "maybe" pile...

I don’t notice him messing up that often. I’m a dumdum with finer points of defense, and know that when he screws up he screws up big. But I’m not that annoyed by the guy...aside from the contract.
