I'm more horrified by the flooring installation. Who purposely lines up wood pieces so all the joints align?

Steps
1 - appoint mikey and meow as scouting board for Hextall
2 - remain contenders until Crosby retires
3 - become sellers at the trade deadline to gain draft picks
4 - have a few years without playoffs:(
5 - profit???
Convince Geno to take 1 year deals. Ship him off at the deadline. Rinse and repeat for a couple years for some prospects. Keith Tkachuk style.

Cool. He will be injured until the trade deadline. So he won't actually cost anything.

If both leave, what is your plan?

Just noticed that. Wondering if Geno did those diy because that’s the worst install possible

Wise move. Also, profit on the secondary ticket market.

Looks more like a wood-look tile to me. Still ugly as sin.

This is one of those that probably could have been its own thread...it's the re-signing of a roster player. But too late now I guess, I don't think there's an appetite here to move posts...
I can move the posts - it just gets annoying when people want random chat and hockey threads.

I'm really 1000% for having individual posts. I hate this randomness thread in particular because of how much gets discussed in this thread during the season. It makes me have zero interest to really post in this one.

Made the new thread. There's about 6 to 8 posts that could be moved under it if possible, please. :thumb:

Eklund. That's a turd I haven't heard from in forever. Didn't know that guy was still peddling BS.

Seattle? I don't really see the need to trade up in this draft. There are guys that the media and fake scouts have down in the teens and 20's, but are actually in the conversation for top 5, hell, even #1. I know of one guy who is top 10 for one scout and like a "maybe a 7th rounder" for another...

Not saying that there isn't something to be had there...but I don't get how we'd get up there, unless we gave up a 2023 1st as part of it...which I think is bad business...

Wonder if there's any Russian talent that people are going to pass up, that we can have our boy Malkin negotiate with Putin to let him go.

Hmmm, ya know, I know there's a popcorn there...but I wonder a little bit about that. Seattle has money to spend. The most I could immediately think of in terms of asset for this in the non-compensatory-pick era is a 3rd round pick for UFA rights (Hamhuis, Bryzgalov, etc.). So, maybe you could say Malkin's UFA rights are worth a 2nd if Seattle got a chance to negotiate out front...

Could you say, something like Kasperi Kapanen, the rights to Malkin, #21, a 2023 2nd for #4? I don't know if that gets it done. It's really hard to trade into the top 5 when you don't have anything close...I don't know...Eklund is the fakest of all newses but I'm struggling to think how we'd get there...
