Had more trade deadline thoughts. Dumo had surgery on December 1st and was expected to be out a minimum of 8 weeks. We’re now at 11 weeks and he’s still not skating. Getting a better than mediocre defenseman might be a bigger priority than a right handed center.

My doctor friend was totally perplexed when they announced eight weeks for what he had done. I feel like that was pretty aggressive

They left it open ended with the “minimum of” and not an actual time frame, but not yet skating almost a month past that minimum seems like a not great thing.

Didn’t a writer on twitter recently comment on how Dumo is actually behind schedule (obviously, I know)?

Had forgotten that this highlight reel play was Max Talbot's first goal

I knew that Jarry had been good this season, but I don't think I realized how good. He is tied with Rask and Merzlikins at .930 this season (highest among eligible goaltenders). GAA is second in the league. Tied for SOs with Rask.

It's actually eerie how similar his stats are to Rask's this year. Long way to go, but he has to be a Vezina candidate, right?
If his stats for March and/or April look anything like his stats from December (8-1, .947, 3 SO) then it's a conversation we could very well be having.
He won't have enough starts. I also think what we saw from Jarry earlier in the year was misleading.

I'm not sold on him being that good. Maybe he is. I'm just not ready to believe that yet.

Get one back, lose another. Yikes. A point out of first though...not too shabby.

I remember thinking watching game on Sunday when the NBC guy said about how long the Tanev - Blueger - ZAR line has been together and knowing that was about to end. Didn't think it would be immediate.

So what even does a at-full health look like for this team in the playoffs, I gather that Guentzel is the only one out for the post-season, right?
