Sure, I don't know how many times I have to say he's good. He had 7 points in the playoffs last year and was a healthy scratch for a self-admitted mental slump. I'm just interested to see what happens this year, as there were rumors over the summer of him maybe being shopped.

mental slump = he had a concussion, no?

just admit he's good, ok? just say it once.

"You want to be out there helping the team win, but when you're not playing your best, that's what happens," Sheary said. "I've kind of been slumping and not playing really well. It was inevitable that that was going to happen. Hopefully I can get back in and help the team win moving forward."
"I think it's a mental thing. I think it starts with my mindset," Sheary said. "I think I got in a slump there where I wasn't scoring, then I started thinking about it a little too much and was getting away from my game."

It's difficult to get past that mental block without playing, Sheary said.

"Sometimes you have to play to get through it," Sheary said. "I've had plenty of guys come up to me and tell me 'Let yourself off the hook a little bit and just play your game. You're a good player.' I mean, that side of it has really helped me. But I think [if] I'm able to play through it, I think that will be the best way out."

The concussion could have certainly played a part in his role of getting healthy scratched. That happened in the semis, but I seem to remember him having a somewhat rough entire playoff last year, not just 1and a half series.

If he was 6-foot-anything we would have never gotten a crack at him...not to belabor the point, because Mork has stated he's good and all, but the whole "goes cold" thing describes every player in the league...Crosby didn't score in 10 or whatever this season...this is a vintage "grass is always greener" thing...

For comparison sake: Ovechkin has scored a point in 58 of his last 101 games (2016-17 & 2017-18) [every 1.74 games]
Sheary has scored a point in 44 of his last 81 games (2016-17 & 2017-18) [every 1.84 games]

He really can't do much more for us...

Sheary had 'personal issues' during the beginning of the playoff run last year.

He was obviously troubled by everyone pronouncing his name incorrectly.

He could produce his regular season PPG in the playoffs :pop:

15/16 Regular Season - .86 PPG
15/16 Playoffs - .43 PPG

16/17 Regular Season - .87 PPG
16/17 Playoffs - .32 PPG

Sure his first season is a super small sample size, I'm interested to see how it shakes out in the playoffs this year. Again, he's good/great player. I question if he's built for the physicality of the playoffs, and the original rumors were to acquire a better third line center by shipping him. I do have to wonder if that's still the case or not.

A classic rivalry continues.

The 2019 @CoorsLight NHL #StadiumSeries will feature the @penguins and @NHLFlyers at Lincoln Financial Field.

Hey lets play a baseball game on a NASCAR track. How about NFL in a bowling alley? Outdoor games in football/baseball stadiums make just about as much sense. It was fun a few times. Its way too overdone now.

In other news, I am really enjoying Ian Cole's game right now. I hated his contract early on, but man has he completely changed my opinion.

A better analogy might be an NBA regular season game taking place at an outdoor court. Yes, a lot of players started playing basketball in their driveway or school playground, but that doesn't mean a regular season game should be played outside. Although it WOULD be pretty awesome to see a Clippers/Lakers game on the Venice Beach courts.
