I was thinking about that last night after I wrote it and I think he has a problem with not having enough "finish" to him...not in terms of goal scoring/shooting prowess, but just not finishing a play. Like he'll come back defensively and then just not really follow through and really take his man out of contention for the puck. He covers ice more than he covers a player if that makes any sense. I think that's just him being an amateur still and it's imminently correctable. But in replaying the flashes that I've seen of his play in my head, that kind of stuck out to me after I wrote that out...
Edit: Of course that would end up on the next page...who runs this place...

O’Connor is what half of guys that go NCAA dream about. They know they have it in them; they realize they are late bloomers. College is a great place for these guys. Three times as much practice time as game time. Unlike juniors, where you practice about as often as mikey changes his underwear - once a week, maybe?

The contaminated spittle flew right past him.

I've only just noticed Paul Steigerwald called a goalie blocker a "stick glove" back in the early 90s.

On another note RE Pens-Hawks, man was Chelios a **** **** heel. I definitely missed a lot of this part of his game, given I grew up watching when he was already well into his 30s. It's like watching a completely different player (but with the same amount of talent).

I saw POJ when WBS was in CTL this year. Really rangy guy. Plus skater. Nice first pass. Actually, really nice first pass. D zone play leaves a lot to be desired. Plays with a fishing pole in his own end.
He’s a really dynamic guy. Big risk taker
