Don't quote me on this...but I think it's going to go down like this:
Pens/Caps Thursday at 7; Saturday at 3.
VGK/SJ Thursday at 10

Tor/TB Friday at 7; Monday at 7
Wpg/SJ Friday at 8:30

I understand that the game is content generation, but what the f is this piece by Dejan refugee Matt Gajtka:

http://pittsburghhockeynow.com/gajtka-t ... ne-enough/

Headline:
Gajtka: Three Years After Rock Bottom, Have Penguins Done Enough?
They’re still 12 wins shy of more glory, but there’s just one more hill to climb before it’s all gravy.
Hmm, headline is a bit confusing. He says they are 12 wins shy of glory, but that there is some other hill -- some other goal rather than a third consecutive Cup -- to climb "before its all gravy" and questioning whether the Pens "had done enough." What hill could that possibly be, and also they have won the last two cups since that rock bottom and the HCMJ days, where are the Pens fans who don't think its "all gravy" as is? Right away, either this article is going to blow my mind with some unforeseen goal I haven't thought of, or this article is going to make a sub-Ron Cook level point.
But the two-time defending champs are indeed through to the NHL’s elite eight, four wins from their sixth conference finals appearance in 11 years. Only two teams this century — the 2012-14 Kings and the 2013-15 Blackhawks — have gotten that far in three straight years.

Yes, winning three titles in a row would be remarkable, but making it out of the Metropolitan Division bracket would actually be the final gremlin on the exorcism list, at least for fans not old enough to remember the four-game collapse against the Islanders in 1975. Unlike the Penguins of 25 years ago, this year’s team won’t be heavily favored against Washington or Columbus, although expectations remain high.

So rest up, boys. You’re still 12 wins shy of glory, sure, but there’s just one more hill to climb before it’s all gravy.

Is it a stretch to think this series isn't starting Thursday if they haven't announced anything yet?

The word 'gravy' in the headline is what attracted you, right?

It can't start Friday. So I can't imagine how it doesn't start Thursday...

Teams have already been given potential schedules...they're aware. The obligation to give fans potential logistics isn't there until it's secured...

That is why I do not read many opinion/commentary articles and certainly don't let some writer's opinion drive my own... and openly mock that that do allow writer opinion to form their own.

Uh, I think you are missing the important thing here, which is reaching the conf finals in three straight years, a well known thing that people care about and which the league awards teams the Stanley Cup nothing for

We are currently in the "It's all gravy" stage. The issue is, if they Pens lose, it means that its likelier that the Bruins, Capitals or Predators might win the cup.
