there's a banner that's out there that I was gonna buy for my gameroom, but I didn't want to spend the money since I was going on vacation. Now that I'm back and won't be travelling anywhere until next spring, maybe I pull the trigger on it this weekend.

They never played the Civic Arena. Even when they were playing their final tour, they were only playing 5k arenas.

Thanks. This is a bad idea. I'm supposed to be saving for a wedding, not convincing my fiancé that we definitely need a 1997 NHL Entry Draft banner.

I was this close to buying that banner since that draft was held on my birthday, but I don't know where I'd put it without it looking ridiculous. I think the ceiling in my game room is a hair under 8 feet high, so buying a banner that is 8' 2" wouldn't work out. Plus the room itself is only so big, so I'd be losing a yuge chunk of wall for one item wouldn't work.

The dek hockey league my 4 year old joined gave us two free tickets to the Pens preseason game against Detroit. I haven't told the little man yet, but I may be more excited about his first NHL game than he will be. And that's no understatement, since he is absolutely obsessed with hockey right now. My wife took him to the library Wednesday and let him pick out one movie. He chose the 2017 Stanley Cup DVD. My boy

It's only 48 inches wide, thats not that much wall space. Also, I would fold up the bottom to not include the post office add. The hanging banner would end just below the date line. It isn't like you would be creasing a $500,000 painting to make it fit a space.

The first European draft pick in Penguins history and the all-time leading goal scorer in SM-Liiga history. That jersey is probably the only Javanainen Pens jersey, since he was only here for 14 games.

According to wiki, he passed away in 2011 from an illness.

He's doing it now to troll and his followers under 22 years old eat it up, but it'd be nice to have one person associated with this team that isn't a completely obnoxious turd. When Grove decides to quit or cut back that'll be the end of it.
