We signed Filip Hollander (Hållander) to his entry-level contract...he'll play in Timro (Timrå) this year over in the SHL...he's eligible, and I predict he will, come over to the AHL when his season over there finishes...

Pens spending some cash in the AHL. Wilson and Trotman both making $250K, Summers and Elliott getting $225K, Blueger, Dea, and Czuczman getting $200K, and DiPauli getting $100K. Wilson and Summers were existing contracts. Have to imagine that Jarry is going to want a hefty minors salary in his deal.

Jarry might not have a lot of leverage because he's going to be an NHLer rather soon I suspect...almost every other guy you listed is in the AHL for good in all likelihood...Bluegers, Dea and DiPauli could challenge for 4th line roles perhaps...

What are Jarry's options for possibly saying "**** you guys I'm going to Europe"? In my mind that was the one area of leverage that guys like Blueger and Dea, who are unlikely to make the NHL squad but are definitely seen as depth forwards, probably used. DeSmith was fine and Jarry is still waiver eligible, so he's definitely the one starting the year in the AHL. I don't think he's going to be happy with collecting $100K in the AHL.

Pens also re-signed Ethan Prow for some reason.

Jarry saying "**** you guys, I'm going to Europe" is likely enough to be a death knell for his North American career...and then he has to go over to places that almost certainly have limits on imports from Canada...basically, it will ruin his life haha...

Making $100k is good money in the American League, especially because he's going to get call-ups and get that fat NHL check here and again...and then he's likely the full-time backup in 2020. Then the starter in 2021 when we lose Murray to Seattle... :scared:

I told meow to try out for Wheeling, so he has a chance to get called up to the A-show...

There is a reason they call it the Always Hungry League

I threw my back out lifting my 4 year old the other week. The dream of a meow comeback is dead.

Glad to see you again, but July 18th certainly isn't the most typical date to come back...you're off by almost exactly five weeks on the MIMH-Waffles Orthodox Calendar...

Hahaha, when I get behind, I dread the backlog when I come back. So the return gets delayed, for lack of time to catch up. But, I needed to pull the band-aid off at some point, so today it was. And I jumped forward those 194 pages without reading. Easier to stay caught up when read daily, so to speak. All told, it was 8 months this time, since November 17th.

A quick TL;DR of the past 194 pages.

End. You missed nothing of substance.
