This seems like a convenience rumor than an actual one. Contender with a history of needing wingers eyes biggest rental on the block. The price of a 1st rounder + is not palatable and the player offers nothing more than speed and a shot, I don't think he has the brain functionality to work with 87 or 71 and Kessel already runs the show on line 3...it just seems like an unnecessary add at a possibly damaging price...

As I look into, I think I am starting to like this draft class...I don't know I am willing to surrender my first that easily...

I remember when Vegas was wheeling and dealing for picks that people mentioned how strong the 2018 draft class is, and I think a pick in this class in the first round might contribute in the later crosby/malkin years.

I guess I'd have to see this team a bit longer before I go into "win another cup now" mode where I ditch that pick in this draft. I dunno - just spitballing.

Matt is returning home from the west coast and will miss an indefinite period of time to be with his family.

Yea I felt like his play just fluctuated more. Have to just wonder if more than just the game was on his mind. I know if my dad was sick and close to passing, I'd be absolutely useless for the most part.

It might have been, considering he was with the team.

Like something happened to his dad, looked like things would be ok so he rejoined the team, and the dad took an unexpected turn for the worse.

So Murray didn't join the team after the bye week, instead staying home for personal reasons, which now was obviously related to his dad. At some point since then he joined the team out of the west coast, during which his dad passed away. That's extra terrible.

He rejoined the team on Sunday. Yohe and Mackey saw him skating Sunday morning.
