In other news, I am really enjoying Ian Cole's game right now. I hated his contract early on, but man has he completely changed my opinion.
I never hated his contract, but agree on his game. He’s a solid, steady bottom pairing defenseman who I have no concerns about when he needs to play more minutes. Plays physical, sacrifices the body, good PKer, mobile enough and moves the puck well enough to elevate his game beyond the bottom pairing defensemen of yesteryear. Big fan of what he brings to the table.

He has improved greatly from his days in St. Louis...it really wasn't working out all that well for him in St. Louis...honestly, the biggest change in Cole's game - to my eye - was when he was paired with Rob Scuderi. That seemed to be about the time things sort of clicked for him, glad it did. He's been a valuable contributor...

Hey lets play a baseball game on a NASCAR track. How about NFL in a bowling alley? Outdoor games in football/baseball stadiums make just about as much sense. It was fun a few times. Its way too overdone now.
A better analogy might be an NBA regular season game taking place at an outdoor court. Yes, a lot of players started playing basketball in their driveway or school playground, but that doesn't mean a regular season game should be played outside. Although it WOULD be pretty awesome to see a Clippers/Lakers game on the Venice Beach courts.
Meh, I guess. I'm just over it. haha. NHL hockey works best, imo in the confines of an arena where you can up get close to the action. The rest is just a side show.

I'm pretty much over the stadium series stuff. They need to scale it back to every other year, or every few years.

You two dinguses are part of the problem. You give the NHL your Benjamins to go to this debacle - of course they are going to keep having them. They are cash cows.

If you’re not a part of the solution, you’re a part of the problem. Quit being a part of the **** problem and put the other guy back on!

Yeah, I have never been to one, participated in one or bought merchandise related to one. In fact, I'm not sure I even watched one last year...

So, to date, I am not part of the problem...I will be a part of the problem in the future in all likelihood...

I'm going to the Vancouver game tomorrow. Happy surprise. I went to the Halloween game and now I'm going to the Thanksgiving game. Hopefully it's a cool atmosphere, Halloween was awesome.

As a kid, the WED games at Thanksgiving were always a pretty exciting start to holiday.

They are nice as an adult too. I don't go back to Altoona for Thanksgiving anymore, so there is no pressure to go out to the bars and have the awkward, unofficial class reunions. Instead, I can just tie one on at home!
