I have to miss watching tonight's game against the Cryers because, as a board member of our local beer league I have to sit in on a match penalty meeting of a guy who, after getting speared in the nuts pummeled a guy (not a match) and then stood over his head thrusting his...pelvic region (that's the match) into the other guy's face. yes, these are adults.

the meeting is 2.5 hours long?

I've used it at work a few times to transfer multi GB database files.

i've used it to share full digital albums. And that was almost 10 years ago, so I imagine that it if it's still a thing, it can handle 3 gig.

it likely will be. starts at 8:00 but it takes me 30 minutes to get there. I'll be able to listen on XM but I'd rather be home on my warm couch.
after we hear statements from all players who got match penalties (guy who speared him did too) and then debate punishment back and forth and then I drive home it'll easily be 10:30 or later before I'm home. I'll DVR the game and maybe watch when I get home but still, I have to miss it live because 2 men in their 40s had to be morons.

I have to keep reminding myself that this is why I get free hockey. being a board member saves me about $2K a year in league fees.

My own personal spin on Tom Awad’s Goals Versus Threshold, which I calculate via regression and properly rescaling Hockey-Reference.com’s Point Shares to a better allotment of value between forwards, defensemen and goalies. (Forwards are assigned 60 percent of leaguewide value, defensemen 30 percent and goalies 10 percent; the metric also widens the distribution of league goaltending performances and balances total league offensive value against the value of defense plus goaltending.)

I find it hard to believe that Rust and McCann still fall into the 25 or younger category.

Edit: Probably because Rust is 27.
