Jake is only good because Sid makes him good, or at least that's what the internet says.

That was sorta my opinion his first year or so. Obviously not now. He's incredible. And to me, nothing really jumps out as physically remarkable watching him, he just produces. It's greatJake is only good because Sid makes him good, or at least that's what the internet says.

and what the canadian media never fails to mention in the way of a backhand compliment/question that goes something like this: guentzel is so good. people say sidney crosby has a lot to do with it but he's so good on his own,Jake is only good because Sid makes him good, or at least that's what the internet says.

I’m not enamored with Jake’s game, but I don’t get why it’s even up for discussion. Dude produces in droves. Why have a discussion about it?

I know you're not saying that mikey... but you can't really produce with guys you're not playing with... it's stupid that it gets used against him.
I would argue mutual benefit for both sid and guentzel.
Also how many games in his career were played with/without sid. I don't recall there being a massive drop off in Jake's production when sid is out

Jake has more points than Sid, so maybe 87 is benefitting from 59.

That’s one way to get in I guess.

So, Sidney Crosby and Trevor Zegras aren't at the All-Star game...? NHL always killin' it...
mikey's Thread of Penguin Randomness
After so many years of Sid having a mysterious 1-2 game injury around All Star time maybe the NHL decided to do him a favor and not invite him?
