There's also the factor of rewarding his effort, maybe they liked something he did and wanted to give him a confidence boost and a week's worth of NHL pay and he only missed one WBS game

We almost won 2 games that series against a superior, loaded Sens team, and all the young guys came to play. This is the quality analysis I would expect from RecchiI did a shoot with Mark Recchi shortly after this playoff exit for features we were doing leading up to the US Open at Oakmont and he told me how much of an eye opener that series was and the young kids weren't quite ready for prime time. Then he said that it wouldn't happen again and that they 'got it' now and would be a force going forward. Little did we know then...First playoff appearance of the Sid/Geno era. Got curbed stomped and it was obvious from the get go that the young players on the team had no idea what they were in for. While there’s a certain atrociousness to getting bent over by Daniel Alfredsson, any expectations of success disappeared in the first period of that series. Are there non-atrocious playoff exits?

All I remember from that series is Fleury’s dumbass falling while trying to get on the ice before game one.

I dont recall anyone saying Sid would be ready to play in Florida. Only that he was making the trip.

He was said to miss at least the first four games, no?

nobody from the penguins org said sid would do any of those things
only that he was making excellent progress
that some would rake that scant information and attach a verb to it didn't used to happen prior to the click-age

So what happens in 3 years where people keep testing positive, with no symptoms, and are vaccinated. We’re gonna keep doing this?
Is there a long term strategy here or does everyone just get a bunch of time off of work from now until the end of time?
