I agree. I was answering the 3 based on who I figured Jim meant. I actually like E Rod, but he hasn't managed to put it altogether.

ERod, Kap, Marino, Jarry, Simon, Ruhwedel are all making the final roster. I imagine that one (or maybe both) of Friedman and Riikola make the final roster as well.

Erod as a 4th liner works for me. When injuries happen, don’t promote him, though. I’d rather have a more skilled try hard from the farm get a shot. Sullivan doesn’t have a lot to work with. He needs to remember the concept of “upside” for imperfect players rather than rolling back to coachable scrubs.

Now that we have a couple of potential top-six guys that have graduated from junior hockey, it'd be nice to see those guys take the juicy spots while AHLers fight it out with other AHLers and fringe guys for the appropriate spots...

That’s the obstacle. That talent alone doesn’t move you ahead of Erod in Sully’s depth chart.
