Any idea what lines are gonna look like tonight? McCann in the Zucker spot and everything else is the same?

Sullivan said McCann isn't game ready yet, I think.

I hope I am wrong. I’d love for him to be the best 3C in hockey. I just don’t see it. I’ll gladly have mikey eat a coat hanger if we are wrong.
talk is cheap. mikey already owes us a coat hanger
Give me a call when he becomes Nazem Kadri or whatever, MIMH...I'll start counting your money now, just to save time...
I'm actually glad MIMH bumped that post from way back. I couldn't believe I was the only one in the thread who projected Dumo anything higher than a bottom-pairing D. I'm now riding that completely inflated sense of player evaluation in making the prediction that Teddy B will be the next Pens captain after Crosby. Yahoo.

Really though...if he can consistently put up 30-40 while playing stellar defensively....I mean, you look at the career numbers for guys like Staal, Bonino, JGP, their averages are essentially that, and for some that was while in a 2C role. All different, unique(ly) good players. So in that sense, saying Blueger isn't capable of good 3C production, that just doesn't add up for me at all. Not saying he'll be one of the best 3C's in the league, but he definitely belongs in the role. He's at a 26pt per 82 game pace over his (brief) career so far (I think, boo math) -- maybe he entered the league essentially a finished product, but I'm imagining he can improve on that just a little bit.

I don't know why Kadri is being brought up, unless you're completely stacked at center he's gonna be your 2C.

I think blueger can achieve 3C production with some talent like Kapanen on one of his wings.
I think you keep him with ham and eggers. You would probably lose his biggest attributes if he played with some talent. Then you asking him to hold the puck a few seconds longer. Change his timing on plays. I don’t think it would work.
Is Kapanen not a ham & egger? The two of them have looked really good together in limited action

Geno is really turning things on imo. He looks good. Just a random thought. Will be nice to get McCann back. He's no world beater but a clear upgrade over the O'connor spot

He's 90% of the way there. He still has moments where the puck will be in his vicinity, and he just stares at it without moving his feet.

Kapanen played a bit tougher (more physical and defensive) in Toronto. I suppose that is the difference between playing for a coach that wants hockey players and one that wants figure skaters.

I feel like Geno is more prone to an offensive zone turnover with a dumb deke or a crappy pass but maybe I'm just forgetting that he's always been like this

Juicy was very good for the Pens.

Jason Blake overcame a severe sunlight allergy to become a 40 goal scorer that one time. Still he had a unique skill of murdering penguins.
That 2013-14 season was great for Jokinen.
