It is generally accepted that he is one of the worst regular d-men in the league...I'll do a deeper dive on him if the trade actually goes through...

Minus every year in the league...never progressed really in college...he looked like he'd be all right as a youngster, but never got better....and now has slid decidedly backwards...and we dumped the coaches that save d-men...

Assuming it's just 1 for 1...I imagine it's really tough to move money right now...flat cap, no revenue forthcoming (probably), and a player on the decline with some pretty tough term...I can't imagine it gets a hell of a lot better than this...I think you could find a better player, but this is what that deal or this kind of deal looks like...

Though, it really is just JR and Billy G out there doing things...

I've changed my mind. I'd rather keep hornqvist and play riikola. I do not like riikola but matheson is letang-level dumb in terms of defensive zone play and poor decision-making at times, but lacks the raw talent.
