Guentzel (6) - Crosby (8.7) - McCann (2.8*)
Zucker (5.5) - Malkin (9.5) - Rust (3.5)
Simon (1.6*) - ??? - Hornqvist (5.3)
ZAR (1) - Blugers (0.75) - Tanev (3.5)
-
Lafferty (0.95*)
Dumo (4.1) - Letang (7.25)
Petter (4) - Marino (.925)
JMFJ (3.25) - ???
-
Rude (0.7)
Jarry (2.25*)
Murray (3.25*)
Dead: Bjugstad (0.6 - BO), DeSmith (0.175)
* - For McCann I used the Kasperi Kapanen extension as a guide
* - For Simon, I used Lawson Crouse as a guide
* - For Lafferty I just took a shot at it
* - For Jarry I used Juuse Saros as a guide
* - For Murray, and this one is tough because of the QO, but I used Korpisalo as a guide
I bought out Bjugstad ($600k, $1.75 mil) and I'm putting DeSmith back in the minors where he belongs.
Sheary walks. Marleau walks. I'm not qualifying Rodrigues ($2 mil) because I don't want to have to deal with the headache, and I'm not giving him $2 mil.
So right there, we're at...5.875 mil of free room.
I'm willing to play ball with Riikola, but if I'm him, I'd want to go away. So I won't count on that...
I'll try to fill in the 3C with Erik Haula at $4 mil per year x 3 years (citing Nazem Kadri, Craig Smith, and Cody Eakin as sort of comparables).
That leaves us with $1.875 mil...
I couldn't find a RD to help us for that price...
So I propose a trade: Matt Murray and Juuso Riikola to Buffalo for Henri Jokiharju and Linus Ullmark
That's a little bit of cap money for us (Joki is still on his entry level, Ullmark will cost less than Murray to re-sign as an RFA).
That's my idea if I'm not trying to or cannot blow this thing up on the surface...but I feel I'm really, really good at drafting...much better than this team is...so...like, last year, I would have walked out of the draft with Parker Ford in the 6th round no sweat and knew he'd be a guy for a couple years, etc. So I don't need to move mountains because of that...but now we're getting pretty late in the night to be hoping someone new walks in the bar, eh...

The guy loading the balls wearing the mask has all the makings of a conspiracy.
Mr. Commissioner, is that the logo of the Minnesota Wild?
Yes it is...and it's a **** logo.

I'm not watching because this doesn't require a TV event. If it's not us, I hope it's the rightful winner: Winnipeg. No nursin', no cursin'...

The Rangers were the only team I didn’t want him to go to.

I have to assume that we take that 15th pick this year and give Minny next year’s.

Rangers gonna be a real good team though, that sucks. Lotta young talent.

I actually don't know - do they feel this team is a play-off team, or on the down-trend?I have to assume that we take that 15th pick this year and give Minny next year’s.
Seems there's about to be some bigger changes on the horizon, I'd think long and hard about this one.
