Apparently Bjugstad herniated a disc in his back, which is different than the injury he was dealing with earlier.

I guess he heard the season was starting back up, so he got injured again.

yep, that's definitely "season ending" and possibly career ending as well.Apparently Bjugstad herniated a disc in his back, which is different than the injury he was dealing with earlier.

Fake news. Only like a couple of garbage teams have given up 400 goals against in a season...

I'll watch the **** out of it. I just don't know if it's worth pushing next season back, and maybe the next one.. idk. I'm not against it, I'm just not as excited as I thought I'd be

Fair enough. I view it as an opportunity for the sport. If we can beat everyone (safely) back into the yard, we get to put out the only thing that the all-sport observer finds interesting about our game: the Stanley Cup Playoffs. If we can deliver something kind of playoff caliber and not have other sports going on: NFL isn't due to start at the time we're talking about and it's easy to work around, MLB has nothing going on as far as I've read, NBA has nothing and their first round is a complete joke...
U.S. TV deal is coming up...you have a chance to get McDavid, Crosby, Ovechkin, Kane, Matthews, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Vegas on TV as the lone game in town...? Jesus, you couldn't ask for anything better for this sport in the United States...this could be an inside the park grand slam if it's done right...and it's at least a stand-up double if it's done wrong (minus something catastrophic happening, obviously)...the last time the NHL had a window like this might have been the early 1970's...

That sounds great and all, but it won't matter to most people in the end, IMO.

I think it's more like a ground rule double.

I don't think fanless hockey is going to play well on TV imo

Got a man on...I'll take it.
Our choices are: likely be the lone game in town for a sports-starved country that loves playoff intensity or intentionally file ourselves in last place to get in line with the potential for next regular season which no one watches...
This is an absolute easy lay-up, uncontested...

I'll watch it as long as we are in it. Once we are out, not so much.
