Hey. It was this series (and previous failures and the following year's sweep to Boston) that forced Fleury to hire a sports psychologist. So, you know, that's a positive.

LOL. That was honestly the worst NHL hockey I have ever seen. Maybe the only time I was actually happy their season was over.

they were my #2 team for a long time. I used to go to games in ATL in my RoboPenguin (early years) and Malkin (later years) jerseys and a Thrashers hat. I always thought the Thrashers would eventually become my #1 team but they never gave me any reason to.
my favorite Pens/Thrashers game was in the first few years. they had a giveaway of round "puck" mousepads from WebMD. early in the game there was a call that made the Thrashers fans mad and they let those things FLY! after that I don't think they ever did pre-game giveaways again.
