Anyone know just how bad Sam Gagne is now to be buried like he is?

It took Zach Sill until his 52nd game in the show to get his first NHL goal. I expect Wilson to exceed this mark, set by one of the worst players I've ever seen.Moar Wilson!!!!

Maybe Simon or Hornqvist will be coming back so they are opening this up to send Wilson to WBS. ... or give him a Christmas gift of being picked by a team that will keep him up in the NHL.
Wilson makes $250K in the minors.

Wilson’s deal is something I’ve seen the Pens do more frequently in recent seasons. His minors pay is great for the AHL, but his guaranteed salary for the 18-19 season is $325k. He’s already made over 120K in the NHL this season, so he’s guaranteed to be over that minimum, but giving fringe guys what amounts to a guarantee of NHL roster pay (whether real or paid out after the fact) is a fairly new concept to me.

Used to be done with signing bonuses because re-entry waivers were based on AHL salaries and it created this de facto cap for guys that were vets that could go up and down at $105,000. Like Chris Bourque for instance...so once re-entry waivers were crushed, AHL salaries could rise like this...

Makes sense. Dudes in the A can make a good living, even the guys who are career minor leaguers. It’s a much more lucrative option than the shitfest that is minor league baseball.Used to be done with signing bonuses because re-entry waivers were based on AHL salaries and it created this de facto cap for guys that were vets that could go up and down at $105,000. Did anyone see the DK sports twitter post about Dupuis saying on TV that Malkin/Kessel aren't seeing eye to eye with Sullivan? Felt like it was said and gone as fast as it was said.
