I think Duchene is going to be a penguin
Even if that is true, if you were a hockey player you would wear your IQ on your back...
Cool?

I'm still wincing from that time period, where Brian Gibons was getting featured ice time.

Also: Shero gave him another deal.

The amount of work that must go into finding and categorizing these clips is insane. This one may be easier since most are goals, but the footwork/edgework/puck protection videos feature many highlights that do not result in a goal. How do you find that stuff?

In the famous words of Mike Rowe, somebody's gotta do it. Glad it's him, because this 'series' of videos is phenomenal.

When I watch games, I often write down the time of a game where something happens that I might want to highlight later...particularly for players that I coach...

True. He must record and catalog the recent games. That still doesn't explain his use of old highlights. One of my favorite aspects of his videos is he includes footage from every part of Crosby's career. He could be going back and watching every game, which sounds ridiculous. But, as c2i, dude is probably a huge Crosby/hockey nerd. Never underestimate the power of a nerd.

Dumo and Sheary have filed for arbitration. Doesn't mean much right now, as the cases aren't heard for a few weeks...plenty of time to get a deal done...this is just ordinary course stuff really...

It will be interesting to see how these negotiations go. Both have fairly strong cases, but RFA is RFA.

Sheary has a strong statistical case...Dumo's case based on last year is gonna be pretty weak...provides limited puck skills, he was not good defensively during the regular year, the "tangibles" are pretty weak for him in 2017...but we'll see...ultimately, I think Dumo will sign well before his case date...

As for Sheary, that's a little more interesting...Sheary out-produced Andre Burakovsky handily during the 2016-17 season, but Burakovsky is a much better player with much more upside...he just signed 2 yrs x $3 million per I think...that's a really loose comparable on my part, and perhaps not even relevant, but the bottom line is: the Pens have to decide if they're going to bite on this production and lock him up long term...or if they're going carry Sheary until he hits UFA age and re-address him then...

I think I'd prefer a shorter term deal there honestly...two years, benefits him to hit UFA right on the dot, benefits us in case it turns out that Sid+Sprong (say...) > Sid+Sheary...he was found money anyhow, anything we get out of him is major bonus bucks for us...

The only thing I worry about with Sheary is his size and his own self-admission that he gets tired. I'd like to see him locked up, but agree that maybe either ride him out to UFA or even trade him.

He'll obviously never get bigger, but two years in a row now he's wilted against teams with size.

I wonder if Sheary has a valuable skill set, or provides a blue print for the traits you want from Crosby's winger right now. I also think that Crosby is playing a level right now that would allow most replacement level NHL'ers to be atleast a 20-20 guy on his wing. But, I'm also mostly bearish on Sheary compared to the board and think his production is replaceable if he makes high contract demands.

Mike Colligan predicts $2.5mm for Dumo and $4mm for Sheary.

If Sheary gets $4m from arbitration I hope the team walks.

It is a VERY "what have you done for me lately" place around here. Previous history is irrelevant. Complete lack of previous history is irrelevant.
