Man remember when we were chocked full of goalie depth. We had Murray Flower Jarry Gustavsson etc etc.

We're paying CDS 1.8 million a year to sink the team. I'm convinced that Joel Blomqvist is already better than him.

This is not a defense of CDS

It’s worrisome that the team can’t insulate their garbage backup at all. Yeah, Florida shoots from anywhere and racks up the shots total, but like, giving up 40+ on your backup isn’t a great strategy. It’s more of a comment on the team as a whole. Not enough versatility

Yea and considering our bottom two lines shot supression is pretty terrible, that’s probably no my a good combo

Having their backup in shouldn't force a team to change their game. They keep seeing him give up pathetic goals, so of course they're not at their best when he's in net. They're a completely different team with CDS in net. Good thing GMRH gave him a raise. A **** RAISE.

It’s not talked about enough but I also think the transition suffers a ton with CDS in net because he never leaves his crease to pick up a puck

In a perfect world. But like 99% of teams do something different to help out their inferior goalie.

I don’t want to make it seem like teams flip their game upside down. It’s usually small tweaks that are often not even really talked about. Wingers sink a bit more on defense. Centers swing a little lower in breakouts. Maybe fewer d to d passes. Lots of it is subconscious because they know their workhorse isn’t in.

And when he does decide to do that he stands behind the net and turns the puck over for an easy goal.

The old teams are better in front of Murray than MAF when MAF was having a few stumbles during Murray's rise in 16/17.

Are the goalis in SHL really that much worse compared to CDS? Jhonas Enroth is ranked 7th in GAA and 8th in Save %. It shouldn't be impossible to sign one of those?

So is he only going to play the PP, since that's all he's good at in WBS?

Didn't you think Ty Smith would start in Pittsburgh as well?
