I posted that because of you Mikey. We had a Mikey on PUGs and I made the mistake of thinking you might be him. #89 was sarcasm just as #98 was sarcasm. I thought since you were from PUG you might get it. LOL I was wrong. My bad. I don't take things personally and give out as much as I get. Being new on the board I didn't want to ruffle feathers.

Sad to say if the above is accurate, make up the "little short" to keep Letang, and Geno goes. Sentimentality is no reason to shell out that much for clearly declining performance.

If he's here a year longer than Sid - his contract years aren't going to matter. That being said, I'd get Letang into the $8mm range and leave Malkin go.

I never understood why Riikola stayed here in Pittsburgh. When they started him on wing, that'd would have been about it for here. Either way, good luck.

He probably felt that way too. I wish him well. Hopefully he'll get better treatment there than he did by the Pens .

Well sure, but he was the third leading scorer on WBS last year. There was some kind of talent there that probably warranted a look in the NHL. Easy money aside.
