He wore 98...? Woof...what a bender.

He wasn't really a prospect proper but I'm not sure there were higher hopes for a guy that ended up with 32 GP 0G 2A...Sergei Plotnikov.

Plotnikov was really, really bad...
See, this is why you really need proper talent evaluation to make these calls...Plotnikov was a way better KHL player than Janne Pesonen, but Pesonen was definitely a more effective and more talented player...I wonder if he hangs on for a little bit if he gives it a little more of a chance...

If we were playing a drinking game on most obscure prospects that we had...I feel like a lot of folks would be bottoms up after this one: Libor Pivko

Sorry, I forgot to say ... this, #98", was sarcasm we posted about him on another board. He was supposed to be the next greatest thing since Sid so, since Sid wears 89 we figured he should wear 98. It was meant as nothing more than a notice of him being as invisible on the ice as Sid is visible, hence the holy awesome reference...which was another sarcastic term we used.He wore 98...? Woof...what a bender.

If defense of the Janne Pesonen mania, dude dominated the AHL like no one before or after him, other than Jake, in this organization. Seemed like a sure fire golden domed diamond in the rough.

Sorry about the confusion. You had to be on that board I guess. Unfortunately it's no longer in existence so I can't even suggest going there to read posts and, yes, there was a "Holy Awesome" thread. LOLOLsince Sid wears 89 we figured he should wear 98.

It's not really about that...it's the "Crosby wears 89" line that had me...
