I can honestly say that I have never, ever heard of that. It sounds like a SyFy quality porn title.
It's called flap meat most everywhere outside of the northeast. You might know the cut as sirloin tip. Excellent for grilling, 5/7

This surprises me, because I've been all over the country but had never seen that reference before. Either way, thank you!

I was watching that hashtag yesterday. Some of them were absolutely hilarious.

While on the topic, here's Dave Reid going through some of Crosby's faceoffs from game 2. The conclusion? The Sharks are the ones cheating - and Crosby's still winning the draws.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByZ05DmxCiU
Which is probably why DeBoer had no comment when asked about Couture's and Vlasic's comments.

Kerry Fraser said in his "C'mon Ref!" column Sid isn't cheating, he's just incredibly in tune with what it takes to win the faceoff. He also said with the comments by Couture and Vlasic, the Sharks will be under the microscope as well. He said be careful what you wish for.

Yep, I enjoyed Fraser's article, too. I think it'd be hilarious if they started getting tossed from the dot because of it.

i think the sharks are legitimately rattled and if things don't go the way they want early tomorrow night they might get tilted hard enough to lose the same game twice

I definitely think that they're frustrated, which I consider to be the final step before rattled. If things don't go their way in the 1st period tomorrow night, that may push them over the edge.

With the disparity in play so far, it honestly feels like the Pens should be up 3-0 by now.

what concerns me the most about the series is that the sharks, much like the lightning, don't need a lot of chances to convert. i'm all about playing the odds, and keeping their shots low certainly helps them in our favor, but no matter how well the pens play the sharks are going to get their chances. what matters is how we respond to them.

Was it an optional practice? I'd have to assume so.

Among the other non stop Sharks talk on NHL radio, I heard before game 2, that the Sharks don't really practice - they just watch film and they get everything they need to get from that because, and you may not know this, the Sharks are probably the #1 club in the NHL in terms of hockey intelligence.

They just need some video out to figure out the speed that Pittsburgh obviously doesn't have. Their forwards are better, they have 4 Norris caliber defenseman, their bottom 6 is the normal top 6... and Pittsburgh has never seen anything like them.

Today of course the conversation is all about how the Sharks will come back in the series with no adjustments. Sure that could happen, but all the "Oh they just need to manage the puck better" is a hell of a lot easier to say than it is to do when your constantly being hounded as soon as the puck comes to you.

Sure Pittsburgh is aggressive - but they are also faster than you so that if you do happen to slip one to some open ice, chances are you won't be the first one there.

The Pens speed does not just tire a team out physically, it tired them mentally too. When you have to make quick decisions in an already fast passed game you start to tire mentally and you're already slower to react because you are physically tired from chasing the other team around. Add in the frustration of always having to play catch up and its good news for the Pens.

Is the stuff about practice actually true, or are you being facetious?
