Split time in San Jose. Also, even more appropriate, NBA contest referred to as NBA Finals, NHL contest referred to as Stanley Cup Final

It's nice to know that the prohibitive favorite pick of the "experts" feel they can compete after game 1.

@kicksave, i know it's sexy to come back from a game and boast about how much better the pens looked, but my main question is the speed -- when both teams are clicking, do we have the distinct advantage i saw on TV?
Additionally, what percentage of sharks fans were there? Would you say that was normal compared to other games you've been at? Also, would you say there were more or less fans than games you've been to when it was Pens @ Sharks?

The Pens are definitely quicker than the Sharks. They need to keep the play moving. If you give the Sharks time, it's a bad time. Anytime Thornton touches the puck, time slows down.

I went with a Sharks fan, so there was at least one.

There were more Sharks fans there than I expected. Vocal, but not obnoxious.

albeit, San Jose != Oakland != San Fran, but if we assume they're all about the same, 6 times a city has been in the NBA and NHL finals at the same time and 0 of those times did both teams win their championships.

the last time this happened was New Jersey in 2003

There were more Sharks fans there than I expected. Vocal, but not obnoxious.

I was also at the game, as a guess I would say there about 300 to 400 shark fans in attendance . Great atmosphere from the home crowd, the loudest I have heard since moving from the Igloo.

Penguins are obviously the faster team from top to bottom. They need to keep the foot on the gas for 60 minutes, I don't see the Sharks having a solution if they continue to play that way.

Another crazy thing: In the first three rounds of the 2016 playoffs, Vlasic (44) was only on the ice for something like six or seven 5-on-5 goals against. Last night, he was -2.

It's kind of hard to estimate, as they were all over the building. There were about 20-25 around the Sharks bench during warmups. and about 10 combined in my section and the sections near me. So that's at least 30-35...
