This is why I'm really going to enjoy playing the part of the heels and ruining Jumbo Joe and Marleau's possibly last chance at a Cup. It's the Penguins vs. the World and I couldn't be happier. Also, I really like the Sharks team--Pavelski's awesome, Burns is something else, and Thornton and Marleau are in the twilight of their fine careers. But hearing that they "deserve" to win the Cup has gotten old fast. I get the underlying sentiment, but stop it, already. They'll deserve it if they win it; not before.

Has anyone mentioned the pens abysmal record in SJ over the last 25 years?

And they had lost all of their home Game 7s in team history, until last night.Has anyone mentioned the pens abysmal record in SJ over the last 25 years?
25 years has no effect on the present.

There's also something about Martin Jones I don't like. This is why I'm really going to enjoy playing the part of the heels and ruining Jumbo Joe and Marleau's possibly last chance at a Cup. Flyers HFBoards page is hilarious. The amount of disdain they have is beautiful.

Good thing the Pens don't have to win any games there.Has anyone mentioned the pens abysmal record in SJ over the last 25 years?

Also, the Pens' record in SJ has no more bearing on this series than does the fact that the Pens averaged 6 goals a game against the Sharks for like four or five years after they first came into the League. Mario averaging 3 points-per-game vs SJ during that same period also is of little relevance.
But they sure are fun little thought nuggets to be having right now.

So has Geno been promising his girlfriend "yeah, honey, we'll get married as soon as we make it to the finals."?

Just checked Ticketmaster.......... cheapest seat in SAP Center is $1,000.
Which means you will not be getting any live updates from Trilby McTifster and his frosted hair during the road games.

I wonder where all the people who complained about ticket prices are at now? $300 for SCF tickets seems like a complete steal.

Yup. The cheapest seat on Stubhub is $319. You could do SRO for $250. My current plan is to wait until about 6 or 7pm on Monday and check the prices. Normally they'll drop dramatically an hour or two before puck drop.I wonder where all the people who complained about ticket prices are at now? $300 for SCF tickets seems like a complete steal.

The prices, in my experience, dip in the secondary market at about 10 am - 2 pm on the day before the game.
For game 6 vs. Washington, for instance, they were holding around $110-$120 on the secondary market for a while. That window that I said saw many tickets drop into the high $90s, I even saw some non-SRO tickets (which I can't imagine buying) dip into the mid-$80s...those got snatched up, prices climbed to around $100 or so at the bottom end for the remainder of the evening. The day of (until noon, when I had to leave for said game) saw the prices get to around $105-$115 on the low side.
That window makes some sense as it's reasonably close enough to the game where you realize you can't make it or don't want to and then you put it up as a motivated seller because you're nervous that you might get stuck with them...

To be fair, that's just the price for what's available. There might actually be cheaper face value tickets, but they're already sold.

I may be going to Monday's game with a Shark's fan. Trying to find some "reasonable" tickets.

Also, think about this: While SJ may have 2 or 3 players that just about all other hockey fans want to see lift the Cup, we've got easily 4 whom those same fans DON'T want to see lift the Cup: 1. Schultz, 2. Kessel (except for a surprising number of TOR fans), 3. Sid (it was a fluke the first time!), and probably 4. Letang/Geno.This is why I'm really going to enjoy playing the part of the heels and ruining Jumbo Joe and Marleau's possibly last chance at a Cup. The hockey gods can be cruel, and I can't see them passing up an opportunity like this to employ their sick sense of humo(u)r.
