Keep up these kinds of shot totals - bound to get 1 in Tampa that isn't close.

In terms of faceoffs - it seems that Pittsburgh had a hard time dealing with both linesmen. Lots of discussion at the dot with a Penguin often being moved out of the circle. I think in the 3rd Malkin slammed his stick on the ice and demanded the linesman drop the damn puck.... as he should have - that was ridiculous.

I'm really pleased with the effort across the board and I maintain that they have it in them to rattle off three more in a row. I love what I saw from the stars, especially leading up to the winning goal. The whole team really busted their asses and it showed.

I think Sheary could use a night off. He just seems run down and out of sorts, which is a bad thing when speed and quickness is really your only attribute. I don't care if it's Beau or Sprong or whoever, but I would give Sheary a nacho night on Wednesday and slot someone else into the lineup.

Sheary looked great against the heavy-footed Rangers. He looked ok against a decently speedy Washington. He looks nearly invisible against a think fast, play fast/long reaching Tampa.

I can see them having a game where they fill the back of the net against these guys and I think it happens in at least one of the two games in Tampa. Sid and Geno are doing a lot of good things they just need someone to finish for them or put some in on their own.

I think Geno has a multi-point outing in game 3.

Yea it definitely didn't go through Murray's glove. Just an optical delusion from ole Rich Miller. It was a knuckling shot that never made contact with Murray's slower than molasses glove hand.

It went over. Just a weird camera angle causing optical illusion. Different angle below.

reeks of "cover up" to me

also, "hole in Murray's glove" makes al ot of sense because he couldn't catch the puck from the second period on

He's noticeable, but for the wrong reasons. Trying to hard to do everything by himself and beat 4 defenders with speed instead of using his linemates for support.

That, and he looked completely lost last night.

Are there weights hidden in his glove to slow that thing down?

I bet Fleury's glove doesn't have a hole in it

It also does not have a hand in it. (Phrasing)

Was listening to NHL talk on SiriusXM this morning, and Matt Barnaby said there was a very good NHL team on the ice last night playing against a decent AHL team. Said the Pens absolutely deserved the win, and were utterly dominant from about the halfway mark on.

One caller mentioned that it was very important that Sid scored the OT winner. It's the kind of clutch play that can really light a fire under a superstar player, and the show hosts agreed that Crosby could go on an absolute tear from here on in. Hearing this pleased me.

Game 3 certainly has "The Sid Show" written on it right now.
