Hard to justify, for sure. I just like the look of it enough to splurge. Edge 2.0s - and even 1.0s - were well worth the price tag though.

Shame on the graphic artist who created this. They scratched out the wrong part of town. If they would have scratched out Heidelberg, then it would have been accurate.

Looks like Dicks is trying to get rid of the Stadium Series merch. There aren't any jerseys available online but stores may still have them. You can snag one for $115.

Yea! I actually returned mine to Pens Gear as I was able to get a better deal elsewhere at the time. Like you said, especially at a good lower price there was no reason not to get it if you wanted one. I still wish they were actually "on-ice" authentic, but these were a nice surprise from what I expected.

Bad lettering, even worse signature. I'm sure the MeiGrayGroop (which has at least three errors involving the tag aside from the spelling) can verify the authenticity of this jersey.

I did the same. I could have attempted that Sid sig while in a dark room with a Sharpie taped to the arch of my left foot and did a better job.

No shame in buying and rocking a knock-off. I have a few that I wear when I don't want to have to worry about them getting dirty or food on them. Those born trade jerseys were as quality of knock-offs as you could get. Unless you really knew what to look for, some of them are really hard to spot. Ali Express is a crapshoot of course. I've seen some that almost rival born trade but most are pretty bad.

I started getting back into jersey collecting in the last 5 or so years. I probably wouldn't go for a knock-off now unless I had a specific need for it or it was a gift. The Adidas knock-offs are particularly horrible. Maybe that's why they added the weird shoulder dimples.

I have a few born trade jerseys. It's not like I'm paying real money for a Dave Schultz jersey.

My wife bought me a Penguins advent calendar last year for Christmas from one of those Chinese sites. When it arrived, the comedy ensued. First off, it was a sewing kit box with a piece of cellophane glued to the front that had Steelers written on it. Inside, it was quite the experience to see what I would get each day. (spoiler alert: none of it was Penguins or even hockey related).

It's really surprising to me how people settle for such awful knockoffs. I get the market for it - jerseys are expensive beyond their merit. But there are decent looking knockoffs and then there's people that wrap themselves in what is essentially an aids quilt...and frankly, the people that have them, should end up on that stupid blanket...
