He kind of sucked at the beginning of the year, but I think he's playing the best hockey of his career this Spring.

He's awesome.

Letang is one of the top positive makers on the team, but he is also one of the top negative makers on the team. If you do a bad play/ good play curve, Letang is a reverse/upside down bell-curve. Something exciting is going to happen when he is on the ice.

I have been critical of him in the past but this year he has been outstanding. His negative plays are way down. I think you can say that about most of the familiar faces on this team as well.

As a bigtime Letang critic his entire career, I am now willing to label him a #1.

Something finally clicked a couple of months ago. I wonder if Gonchar has helped... I'm seeing a lot of Gonchar on the PP (i.e. zone entries/skating through the neutral zone without feet ever leaving the ice...)
