Yeah, I don't get this at all...Kunitz has been very good this year...HuhwutI hate when Kunitz scores. He gives a crap effort and then gets bounces.

You gotta think so...he kind of stumbled coming out of that face mashing, I thought he might be in some trouble...then he played the rest of the period I think...but yeah, gotta to imagine he got his bell rung a bit there...Assuming Dumoulin was pulled for concussion symptoms?

Why was he allowed to return then? Bennett gets hurt, leaves, comes back, then leaves for 8 months it seems. Malkin gets hurt, returns, then leaves for 4-6 weeks. Dumoulin gets hurt, leaves, comes back, then leaves again. You gotta think so...he kind of stumbled coming out of that face mashing, I thought he might be in some trouble...then he played the rest of the period I think...but yeah, gotta to imagine he got his bell rung a bit there...Assuming Dumoulin was pulled for concussion symptoms?
If it's a concussion, shouldn't this have been tested when he left the first time?

That was my interpretation of things as well...apparently it wasn't spotted...I don't have an answer for this...but I also don't know if it's a concussion either, so it's not a call to arms for me yet...for all we know, Dumoulin's legs fell off or something...who knows with this team...Source of the post If it's a concussion, shouldn't this have been tested when he left the first time?

+32 in the second period this year. I'm not sure if this was a good period under Johnston too. If it wasn't good, imagine how high that number could be? Is it due to the long change and our speed?

Agreed. You'd have to rule out concussion, there's no way this medical staff can be stupid enough to let players return with concussions.

Kunitz gives each game maybe 30% effort. He floats around the offensive zone waiting to snipe which doesn't work as well as it used to. He'll give up on his defensive back checks and now simply looses the puck with no one pressuring. His turnovers have been just awful, he gives it right to the other team.

Yeah, that's a big part of it. Those quick out, flip plays too...they make you second guess changing...plus we control it down low way better under Johnston/Sullivan than we ever did under Bylsma...+32 in the second period this year. I'm not sure if this was a good period under Johnston too. If it wasn't good, imagine how high that number could be? Is it due to the long change and our speed?

Tripping? Tripping? Really? His stick was at his chest. It's interference if anything.

Last two years, sure. This year, I respectfully disagree sir. He hasn't been perfect or anything, but he's much better than not...more "vintage" Kunitz than he has been in a few years...Kunitz gives each game maybe 30% effort. He floats around the offensive zone waiting to snipe which doesn't work as well as it used to. He'll give up on his defensive back checks and now simply looses the puck with no one pressuring. His turnovers have been just awful, he gives it right to the other team.
