Malkin out for 6-8 weeks

“I mean listen, we're sitting here talking about practice, not a game, not a game, not a game, but we're talking about practice.”

20 years from now when Dan Sprong is inducted into the HoF, his speach will surely mention the priceless time he spent practicing (not playing) in November 2015.

This team has zero depth.

No Geno = No Playoffs
This post is just more evidence that I have no idea what I am talking about, especially with hockey. Pens are 7-1 without him. Seems to be the only place he is missed is on the powerplay. Geno who? Seriously though, wonder how his recovery is coming? I have heard nothing.

Given that they came out with an exact timetable, odds are something was broken. If we're talking about a bone in his hand or arm, there's a good chance he will be ready in 6 weeks as opposed to 8, perhaps even a few days sooner. If it's a wrist, look out. Could be 8 weeks or longer. Of course, we could be VERY optimistic and hope it was only a finger, but that is beyond wishful thinking. Either way, I wouldn't be surprised if he resumes skating here in a couple of weeks.

I thought it was wrist or forearm when he was hurt.

I wish he'd have provided a few more details if only to satisfy my curiosity, but Geno being on the ice for workouts is a good sign.
